Skip straight to step 3 if you already have the ESET software you wish to use installed on your computer.2. Download the version of the ESET software you wish to use from the ESET website (www.eset.com) and install it. We've tested NodEnabler with x86 and x64 versions of 2.7, 3, and 4. All worked perfectly, so pick any version you like. Trial versions are fine; Just run NodEnabler then open your trial ESET software and click update. The trial version will automatically be updated to a full version. If you want to download a full version straight away, go to one of the sites mentioned above and copy a username and password, then go to http://www.eset.com/download/purchased_software.php and select the software you want to download. When prompted, enter the username and password you copied. The download should start immediately. If it doesn't work, try another username and password.3. Remove any cracks/hacks etc you already have installed for the ESET software on your computer. This includes previous versions of NodEnabler. "2.81 Improved" and 3.0 have included uninstallers that can be accessed through "Add/remove programs", but anything older (including standard 2.81) and you'll need the "old version" uninstaller we've posted on the astalavista.ms forums in the NodEnabler thread.4. Run the correct version of NodEnabler for your OS build (if you're not sure whether you're running x86 or x64 you can check by opening the start menu, right-clicking on "My Computer" or "Computer", and selecting "Properties". In the window that appears look for 32-bit, 64-bit, x86, or x64. (32-bit = x86, 64-bit = x64.) Anything older than XP should be x86.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enabler made by The Damned Crew._________________________________________________________________________                        ----------Notes----------Changes:+ Now supports version 4 ESET software when self-defence is turned on. Similar to the way NodLogin does it, but much faster and more reliable. Cheers to all the Windows 7 users for reporting their experiences with the old version of NodENabler, this version trys the old method first and then if it fails, uses the new one.+ Now waits for one to five minutes for internet access before trying to check the existing license (one minute with no network connection at all, five when there is a network connection but no route to the internet). No more wifi issues.+ Should now work with http proxy servers. It uses the same settings as Internet explorer (and so needs it installed on the computer to work). I don't have access to a proxy to test it.+ Made some changes to the uninstaller to make it much smarter, and next to impossible to delete any files you still want.+ A single Vista scheduled task now works with all connection types.+Added a readme that should hopefully cover all of what the average user needs to know.+ Removed lots of unnecessary pauses in the code to make it run faster.+ Performed a slight visual update on the tray balloons, hopefully making them more useful and easier to understand.+ Lots of other minor tweaks and fixes here and there.Please remove any old versions of NodEnabler (or any other ESET cracks you might be using) before installing version 3.0. "2.81 Improved" has it's own uninstaller.
